My Informal Resume

In 1999, after earning my Bachelor's of Science from the University of Central Florida, I entered the world of education! I have taught Kindergarten through 3rd grades, been a Reading Coach for grades K-5, and tutored students between the ages of 4 and 14. I have worked at rural, urban, and suburban schools. I have over 700 hours of professional development in the past 5 years. I have served on numerous committees and boards, as well as volunteered for both professional and personal reasons. I have supervised over 10 mentees and 10 interns. I have led or served on various county- and school-based teams. I have evaluated Home School portfolios and planned both yearly and monthly for Home School parents.

In my personal time, I have enjoyed creating scrapbooks and diaper cakes for numerous people over the past 5 years. Whether it is a scrapbook to document one event or a year's events, it's enjoyable for me to help preserve others' memories. The diaper cakes are always a HUGE hit from every expecting mother...and honestly, who can't use more diapers?! I create them based on the desired decor and can make them either two-, three-, or four-tiered. Whether this is the mother's first or fourth child, diapers are a necessity!
My family life is super important to me! I have an amazing husband who is such a joy. We have been together since high school and even though there were a few breaks before we got married, the past 7 years of marriage have been the most wonderful years of my life. We also, after 6 years of infertility treatments, have a beautiful 8 1/2 month old daughter. Above the salvation Jesus has given us, she is the greatest gift He has given us. Every day is filled with fresh, new, exciting moments. I enjoyed every second of growing her inside of me & treasure that opportunity. We feel the same about having her here with us. ...Can you tell we're in love?! ;)
I am very organized and passionate about what I do, whether it is educating children or adults or creating a gift someone will always treasure.
